Gourd art plant holder Maranka acrylics homegrown hand painted decor peach pink gnarly shape planter unusual faux succulent
For sale is a beautiful hand painted Maranka gourd made into a planter/ stationery vase.
The opening is about 1 1/2". There is a faux succulent, very sturdy, blooming from the opening. It can be removed if you'd rather put something else in there, like a different silk plant, a candle holder, etc. It will sit flat or you could hang it but be careful with the stem if you do it that way. The original stem is intact but not super thick.
The design is painted using a combination of acrylics in pink, yellow, orange, peach with silver highlights. It is coated with 3 layers of non-yellowing glossy polyurethane to protect the design. So pretty and unique, one of a kind!!
Measures 11" tall or long, about 5" across. This gourd is for indoor use (exposure to water will make the gourd turn mushy inside!)
*****All of my gourds are homegrown! It is a year-long process - I start seeds in April, transfer to the garden end of May, they spend a summer enjoying the heat (and hopefully rain!) and then they rest and cure in my barn or greenhouse during the winter. In the spring, they are dried out, hard-shelled and ready for creating pieces of functional art for the home!! I only sell gourds that have passed a strict inspection for hardness and free of cracks, etc.
